Barbara Morgan submitted this video interview in 1985 to NASA as part of her semifinalist application to be the first teacher in space. She described why she wanted to go into space, and what she would do if selected. Morgan was chosen as the backup to Christa McAuliffe, who would die in the Challenger explosion on Jan. 28th, 1986. Morgan finally flew in space in August, 2007.
