It's a plant called toothwort.
That's one of the few flowers that's out here, that has only four petals.
This is the yellow trout lily.
The leaves are obvious.
Heart shaped, but if you get down low, you'll see this little purple flower open.
That is wild ginger.
I believe strongly in nearby nature.
You don't have to go far.
One of the good lessons of the pandemic was just that, we don't.
I think spring in northern Minnesota is such a short, exploding kind of a season.
Many of these flowers are gonna be gone in two weeks.
It's easy to miss it, but it shouldn't be missed.
Get out and take a look.
