Steve Appleton, Micron CEO, died in a plane crash on February 3, 2012. Appleton was 51 and is survived by his wife Dalynn and his children. A graduate of Boise State University, Appleton worked his way up the company ladder and became CEO in 1991 as one of the youngest CEOs in the Fortune 500. In 1997, Host Joan Cartan-Hansen talked with Appleton about Micron's place in the technology world.
