Season 18 Episode 7 | 56m 46sVideo has Closed Captions

We profile the river's storied history, including its famous hermits.

Partly by accident of its geology and partly by human design, the Salmon River is as wild today as it was 200 years ago, when it turned back Lewis & Clark. This largely intact ecosystem is considered by many to be the spiritual heart of Idaho.
